Struggling with sore muscles and aches and pains in hard to reach places? Step in the Body Drummer aka your new self-care superhero.

If you’ve already tried gua sha, now’s the time to add pai sha (strike-flush) to your routine with this innovative massage therapy tool.

Allowing you to target specific muscles and areas of strain and tension, this silicone drummer enables you to support lymphatic drainage, target cellulite and stubborn fat, stimulate acupressure points, clear stagnation and boost your mood.

Alternatively try our award winning Bamboo Body Tapper which is also a fantastic tool for blood circulation, energy boosting, muscle tension and much more.

Disclaimer: Please take care when using the Body Drummer. We recommend that you start drumming slowly and gently to begin with and build up gradually as you become more familiar with the tool. Drumming should always be pleasurable whether you use a firm, medium or light pressure. Listen to your body and remember that the experience will be more intense than using our Bamboo Tapper. Do not use the Body Drummer over broken skin, broken veins, varicose veins, moles, cuts, bruises, over the delicate kidney area or if you have bleeding disorders. If you use over your head or neck area apply very light pressure.  It is not uncommon to experience bruising initially – it is the body releasing stagnation and blocked energy. If this happens, allow the bruising to subside before retreating. If you feel tired, stop for a few days before continuing.

Avoid using the Body Drummer during the first trimester of pregnancy, after which time you can use the tool to alleviate tired legs (not over varicose veins) only with the express consent of your midwife or health carer. At no point during pregnancy should you drum over the abdomen area.  At no point should treatment feel painful. Should you experience any pain during the use of any of our products, you should cease use immediately. We cannot be held responsible for any injuries arising from improper use. This information is not a substitute for medical advice or treatment for specific medical or skincare conditions. If you are under the age of 16 or over the age of 60*, feel weak, are on medication or have had surgery in the last year, please consult your doctor before use.

Can I combine it with other treatments?

Yes! But always consult a doctor as everyone has very individual and sometimes complex health issues. Chinese medicine often works hand in hand with Western medicine and complements the healing process.

How do I make sure I'm using my gua sha tools correctly, without causing damage to my skin?

Please be reassured, it’s very difficult to damage your skin with this time-old technique. Before you try gua sha for the first time, read the instruction leaflet inside the packaging and watch the short video on the product page of this site. Go easy to start with and watch how your skin responds before continuing. Please note, gua sha should not be performed over broken skin, varicose veins, moles, cuts or bruises.
