How to use:

Step 1 – Cleanse

Cleanse your face with your favourite cleanser and pat the skin dry. 

Step 2 – Roll

Begin with the forehead. Roll horizontally from right to left, then vertically and finally repeat the action diagonally. Move to the cheeks and repeat the same technique. Next move to the jaw, the nose and across the upper lip. Do not drag the needles across your skin, lift to replace then roll each section. 

Be gentle with yourself and don't apply too much pressure. Avoid the eyelids and lips. 

Step 3 – Hydrate

Apply the Hayo’u Beauty Oil for glowing skin. Avoid harsh products such as scrubs, AHA's (glycolic acid) and active ingredients like Vitamin C, this can be applied the following morning.

Repeat 2-3 times a week. Do not use it on irritated or inflamed skin.

 Avoid using;

• during pregnancy due to hormonal changes
• over active acne, broken skin, inflamed or sunburnt skin
• over large or tender moles
• if you have taken Accutane in the last six months
• if you have blood clotting or blood thinning disorders
• if you have eczema, psoriasis or diabetes
• if you have a weakened immune system

Can I combine it with other treatments?

Yes! But always consult a doctor as everyone has very individual and sometimes complex health issues. Chinese medicine often works hand in hand with Western medicine and complements the healing process.

How do I make sure I'm using my gua sha tools correctly, without causing damage to my skin?

Please be reassured, it’s very difficult to damage your skin with this time-old technique. Before you try gua sha for the first time, read the instruction leaflet inside the packaging and watch the short video on the product page of this site. Go easy to start with and watch how your skin responds before continuing. Please note, gua sha should not be performed over broken skin, varicose veins, moles, cuts or bruises.
