Wellness had undeniably been a buzz word of 2017. It’s a lens through which so many Londoners and beyond are viewing their daily habits, the groceries they buy, the dishes they order in restaurants, the holidays they book. For Notting Hill’s Katie Brindle, there’s nothing new or faddish about looking at health as a 360-degree lifestyle.
A tall elegant blond, wreathed in smiles – Brindle is full of charm and it’s no surprise that her clients immediately feel at ease in her presence. Brindle has been working in Chinese medicine since 2002, first practising Tui Na Massage and reflexology, before pursuing it from an academic approach – graduating from the UK’s Integrated College of Chinese Medicine as a Five Elements Chinese medical practitioner. However, her fascination with the subject and the study of Chinese medicine was sparked after a car accident that ended her dreams of becoming an opera singer. And that trauma led Brindle on a new career trajectory. This moment, paired with personal complications around fertility, weight, stress, depression and fatigue – complications that seem to be impacting so many individuals – Brindle resolved to find her own solution.
