Agua de Madre Lemon and Ginger Paste

Ginger and lemon are both foods with the most incredible healing properties in Chinese Medicine. In fact, I try to enjoy a glass of water with lemon and ginger daily and this paste means I can now make a drink in seconds first thing in the morning or mid-afternoon. You’ll find all the health benefits of lemon and ginger without any of the faff. 

I absolutely love this product as it is made from the leftovers from the company's amazing drinks, preventing waste. Lemon and ginger is my favourite herbal tea alternative, and this is a delicious alternative to tea with a wonderful taste.

A combination of fermented ginger and lemons, I love adding this paste to warm water as a cold or hay fever remedy or a delicious soothing tea. The combination of lemons which are high in Vitamin C and the yang properties of ginger are believed in Chinese Wisdom to warm your stomach, remove cold and dampness from the body, soothe your throat and it’s incredibly good for digestion.

Simply add a spoon to hot water and stir and sweeten with honey if desired. This versatile paste can also be used in cooking and baking. This is a real wow ingredient for the Summer, you can marinate fish in it, create salad dressings, cocktails and more.
